PS4: Mannually Eject a Stuck Disc (HOW TO)

In the unlikely event a disc (game, Blu-ray, or DVD) becomes stuck in your PlayStation®4, follow the process below to manually eject it.

What you will need:

• PlayStation 4 with a stuck disc inside
• A well-lit room with a table to work on
• A slender Phillips-head screwdriver (jeweler's screwdrivers work best)
• A small flashlight (optional)

Step 1: Remove the glossy section of the cover

1. Turn off the PS4.
2. Unplug the power, HDMI, and any other cables from the back of your PS4 system.
3. On a clean, flat, surface place the PS4 in front of you so the front of the system is on the left. (The PS logo on the top of the PS4 should be right side up.)
4. Place you palms on the glossy panel and let your fingers rest on the far side of the console.
5. Apply moderate, even pressure near the seam with your palms, and using your fingers as leverage, slide the glossy panel away from you.


6. A click will be heard, and the panel will move about 1/4". Lift the panel off starting from the left side.

Step 2: Locate the manual eject screw & remove the disc

1. With the glossy panel removed, you will see two sets of vents lining the outer left edge. Follow the slot from the front locate the first "single" slot (it's the slot not grouped with any other slots) in the vent.


2. Shine a light down through this slot to locate the manual eject screw


3. Slide the small screw driver into the vent slot and turn the screw counter-clockwise until the disc can be seen peeking out of the disc slot. This may take 3-6 rotations of the screw. Very little effort is required to turn the screw.


4. Grab the disc by hand, and pull it out of the slot.

Step 3: Put everything back together

1. Replace the glossy panel. Place it over the exposed section of the PS4, about 1/4 of inch away from the seam. Then, slide the panel towards seam until it clicks into place.


2. Connect the HDMI, power, and any other cables that were disconnected in Step 1.
3. Power on the PS4 to make sure everything is functioning properly.

That's it, you are done!

How To: Update PlayStation 4 System Software using a USB Stick

The following things are needed to perform the update:

• PlayStation^®4 system
• Computer connected to the Internet
• USB storage device, such as a USB flash drive
  * There must be 400 MB of free space.
  
  
  • On the USB storage device, create folders for saving the update file.
    Using a computer, create a folder named "PS4". Inside that folder, create another folder named "UPDATE".
    
  • Download the update file, and save it in the "UPDATE" folder you created in step 1.
    Save the file with the file name "PS4UPDATE.PUP".
  • Turn off the power of your PS4™ system completely.
    Check that the power indicator is not lit. If the power indicator is lit up in orange, touch the power button on the PS4™ system for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps a second time).
  • Connect the USB storage device that the update file is saved on to your PS4™ system, and then touch the power button for at least 7 seconds.
    The PS4™ system starts in safe mode
  • Select [Update System Software].
    Follow the screens to complete the installation.
• If your PS4™ system does not recognize the update file, check that the folder names and file name are correct. Enter the folder names and file name in single-byte characters using uppercase letters.

Video Guide

Right click on the drive and left click on Properties.
Left click on the Tools tab at the top of the new window.
Left click on error checking and let it run. 
It should automatically fix the file so you can delete it.

PS4 Link

The PS4 Link app has been added to the PS Vita system’s home screen. With this application, you can use your PS Vita to remotely control a PS4 system, and play a range of PS4 games on your PS Vita screen. When you’re playing a game on PS4 that supports second screen features, you can also display information from that game on your PS Vita and use it as a second screen.

Parental Controls

The Parental Controls application has been added to the home screen. You can now manage the duration of game play, and the use of games and videos that have parental controls. You can also control access to certain areas of the system, including the use of the Internet browser and Location Data.

Photos

ŸA Panoramic Camera setting has been added. You can now take panoramic photos on PS Vita, and look around the photo by using the PS Vita’s built-in motion sensor.

Friends

The application layout for Friends has been improved. There are now four tabs:

• Find Player on PSN
• Friends
• Friend Requests
• Players Blocked

Messages

The Group Messaging application name and icon have been changed to Messages. The application layout has also been improved, and you can now send and receive messages with friends and players on PS4 or on mobile devices installed with PlayStation App.

Party

The icon for the Party application has been changed. You can now voice chat and text chat with friends and players on PS4.

Email

You can now sync the contacts saved in your email account from services including Gmail and Yahoo! Mail. To sync your contacts, select Contact List > Options > [CardDAV Settings] > [Add CardDAV Account], and then follow the screens.

Content Manager

You can now use Wi-Fi to connect your PS Vita to a PS3, and transfer data between them. Your PS Vita and PS3 must be connected within the same network.‎ Also, to use this feature, the system software of the PS3 you’re using must be version 4.50 or later.

PS3 Remote Play

The Remote Play application name and icon have been changed to PS3 Remote Play.

Settings

You can now download future system software updates automatically.

Trophies

You can now display Trophies of PS4 software on your PS Vita. Rarity of the trophy cannot be displayed.

Shadow Fall has been built from the ground up for the PlayStation 4, and the response to the gameplay footage of Killzone Shadow Fall so far has been overwhelmingly positive.

Unfortunately, there are limitations to streamed video, and many of the clips and trailers we’ve released thus far aren’t being viewed in the best possible fidelity and framerate.

In order to properly demonstrate the framerate and resolution we achieve in Shadow Fall’s multiplayer, we’ve captured and lightly compressed new footage that we’re not offering through a video sharing service. Instead, we ask that you download and locally view the high-resolution, uncompressed footage directly from us.

Please use a video player with hardware acceleration when viewing the footage. We recommend Windows Media Player for Windows users and QuickTime Player for Mac users. Do not use a non-accelerated player (such as VLC Media Player) because the framerate and resolution of this movie are simply too high and will very likely cause choppy playback.

The video you just saw has been captured from a multiplayer match on “The Park” (MP08). The map is based on one of the environments you’ll encounter in the single player campaign, situated firmly behind enemy lines near the Visari tribute statue.

As you can probably tell from the footage, Killzone Shadow Fall multiplayer outputs at a native 1080p, rendering uncapped but always targeting 60fps. We’re very pleased with how well the game runs, and we can’t wait for you to play it come November

 The all new Tomb Raider, I really like this game so much better than the last one.. almost as good as the original... ( I've added a link at the bottom of this BLOG as amazon are selling this game for £25 NEW!! i paid £39 for this game, lol i should of waited a few more days i guess)
My next game will prob, maybe be BIOSHOCK.. But I'm NOT 100% sure..
